80 Minutes In 80 Words: NRL Round 12
0By Stephen Gallagher
FRIDAY: South Sydney Rabbitohs V Parramatta Eels – ANZ Stadium – 22.00NZT
Really important match here for both sides. Both sitting outside the eight, they both need to start stretching their legs and fight for a right in playoffs.
The Rabbitohs have to bank on their experience. They’re the ones who have to turn it around for this club.
The Eels are lacking some spark, and they need to look to someone like Mitchell Moses to bring the heat.
There won’t be much in this clash.
TIP: Rabbitohs 1-12
SATURDAY: New Zealand Warriors V Brisbane Broncos – Mount Smart Stadium – 19.35NZT
Hahahaha. The Warriors. If they don’t win this, then they’re done. Again. Another do or die game. Again.
The Broncos have six stars out, but most definitely should be the favourites considering just how embarrassing the Warriors have been in 2017.
Benji Marshall could put on an absolute clinic and dispose of the Warriors.
If the Warriors win, they need to show a defensive strength. They have to learn to defend their line with pride.
TIP: Broncos 1-12
Cronulla Sharks V Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs – Southern Cross Group Stadium – 21.35NZT
Sharks are starting to take shape. Luckily not too affected by Origin, they’ll be wanting to put the Bulldogs down in a big match.
The Bulldogs have been lacking in their first halves of late, and need to work on a better start.
Cronulla’s pack will be able to lay it down. They’re always a joy to watch when they’re on form. Hopefully this game lives up to what it should be.
TIP: Sharks 1-12
SUNDAY: Canberra Raiders V Sydney Roosters – GIO Stadium – 18.90NZT
The Raiders looked a lot better last week with a win, and want to build on that and push themselves higher up the table.
The Roosters have a few key players out with Origin, but they’re such a strong squad that I think the players coming in will definitely do the job.
You’ve got two teams that love to play second-phase footy going head to head. That means that every tackle needs to be ball-and-all, and every fifth tackle option is dangerous.
Match of the round.
TIP: Raiders 1-12
