Sea Eagles v Cowboys, Lottoland, 21.50NZT
Despite the short round, the NRL still persist with these Thursday night games. The Sea Eagles play host to the Cowboys.
Only one win separates them on the table. The Cowboys have had two one point losses in the last two weeks.
This is why I am going to back them to win. They’re due. They have to win this. Still lots of good players in this side despite Origin.
Manly will be raring to go as well. Their season hangs on a lifeline. They need a win just as much.
TIP: Cowboys 1-12
Friday, June 1
Rabbitohs v Sharks, ANZ Stadium, 21.50NZT
This will be a great game. A few different faces due to Origin, but it’s still a great clash.
Both these sides are playing great football, which is why they’re both in the top four.
Souths should be favourites with home court advantage, but the under-the-radar Sharks will be prepared.
Really struggling to find an outright winner here. Souths strength is their forward pack, Sharks have a strong in-form halves pairing.
Game of the round.
TIP: Rabbitohs 1-12
Saturday, June 2
Eels v Knights, ANZ Stadium, 21.30NZT
The last placed and very desperate Eels try get a win against the cold Knights. One of these teams will break their four game losing streak here.
Both sides untouched from Origin, which is great to see for a competitive game.
Expect a lot of points. Two sides who have been poor defensively should just open right up once again.
The Knights have more points in them I believe. Better players, and should get the result.
TIP: Knights 1-12
Sunday, June 3
Roosters v Wests Tigers, Allianz Stadium, 18.10NZT
The Roosters are missing four key players, the Tigers none.
That’s where I will put the pressure back on the Roosters to perform, however they do still look very dangerous on paper.
The Tigers are doing just enough to win at the moment, but that won’t be enough this time around.
If they can tighten up their defence, and get off to a better start, I think they can defeat the Roosters for the second time this year.
TIP: Tigers 1-12
Byes: Broncos, Bulldogs, Dragons, Panthers, Raiders, Storm, Titans, Warriors
