Here are five of the best moments that happened this past year. Kobe Bryant goes past MJ on the scoreboard

While the Los Angeles Lakers’ season has been one to forget, one big moment happened for the team. In December, Kobe Bryant passed Michael Jordan to be the third-highest scorer in NBA history. Bryant has more than 32,400 points for his career. However, he is still a little less than six thousand points away from topping Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Klay Thompson runs 37 points in one quarter

The Golden State Warriors’ Klay Thompson may not be as hot of a star as fellow teammate Stephen Curry but he did end up having one of the most amazing single-quarter performances that anyone could ever recall seeing. In one January game against Sacramento, Thompson scored 37 points in one quarter. Thompson completed all thirteen of his field goal attempts with nine of them outside the three-point range. This set records for the most points and three-pointers in one quarter in NBA history.

James Harden drops 50 twice

Like with other rising stars like Kevin Love and Anthony Davis, the Houston Rockets’ James Harden more than proved this year that he is one of the best stars in the game. He had three triple-doubles for the Rockets this year but there were two games where he went past the 50-point mark. He scored 51 against Sacramento in April and 50 against Denver the month before then. In addition, he had eight more games where he scored 40 points or more.

Russell Westbrook keeps on making triple – doubles

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russell Westbrook scored eleven triple-doubles this year. Part of this included one streak where he got four triple-doubles in a row. Much of this came as he had to take up much of the effort for the Thunder following Kevin Durant’s injury as well as some issues surrounding Serge Ibaka throughout the year. Westbrook and the Thunder were unable to make the playoffs but Westbrook did certainly prove that he is one the elite players in the league.

Stephen Curry amazes people again and again and again…

The Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry proved that he is a truly unique player that deserves to seen. He has shown time and again this year just how impressive he is and this all goes well beyond the 23.8 points per game that he has gotten this year or his leading .914 free throw percentage. Curry has made many amazing moves and passes throughout the season and has been shown to be a truly accurate figure for passing, shooting and more. In fact, his biggest performance came in one game against Dallas where he got ten three-pointers in a 51-point performance.
