Sporting pics of the week :- 9 May

New Zealand rugby in the provinces.  A club game in Taranaki last weekend had a couple of pitch invaders.

This time last year planes would buzz Old Trafford with Moyes Out signs.  This year the tactic has moved to Anfield.

Speaking of planes Las Vegas was quite the place to show a bit of flashy opulence with the Mayweather-Pacquiao in town.  Private Jet Gridlock.

The fight itself was the place to be seen however.  Although you would think that Jay Z could cheer up a bit.

Speaking of mascots.  Here’s Austria Wien’s Super Leo in not his finest moment.  Not often you see a mascot pass out for being too drunk.

The Press ran a story during the week about three Cashmere Technical players whose fathers played together Christchurch United in the Chatham Cup winning  team from 25 years ago.  It was a good local, human interest story.  Not sure the cameraman did it justice though.
