Sporting Pics of the week :- 14 March

The world indoor athletics champs have been taking place this week.  You probably know this from news of our shot putters carving up.  But you may not have realised just how blue the whole thing has been.  Very blue.

To emphasis the blueness here’s the 60 metre (yes that’s right) hurdles from above.

What is the German word for schadenfreude?  The Allianz Stadium in Munich all set up to greet the travelling Arsenal fans.

Inside, Arjun Robben was showing off his legendary flying skills.  Once again.

Sri Lanka won the Asian 50 over Cup during the week, and duly had a victory parade. Some people (Indians) thought the celebration was over the top, but what is there not to love about that?

Meanwhile, it was the New Zeeland players’ annual golf day.  Scott Styris; what were you thinking?

And look here.  That’s Daniel Vettori in case you’d forgotten.  Looks as if he plays golf like he bats.
