Broncos 26 Dragons 0

The Broncos got the two points against the bye.

The Dragons, now average 6.6 points a game – and are scoreless through two of their Queensland roadie with a week to go.

On attack, this side resembles something similair to an Under 6 side learning where to stand for the first side.

Take nothing away from Brisbane. They were strong and kept their line clean and put on points when they were given the chance. Notching up their fifth win of the season to stay linked to the top of the table.

Roosters 17 Rabbitohs 10

If you were a cruel man, you’d say Dylan Napa cost the Roosters a maiden season win last week…. well stand up and deliver! This Cook Island chiropractor was taking no prisoners on this one!

Bit hit after big hit inspired his side to a well deserved 7 point win over their oldest rivals.

The Roosters showed slick skills in attack, led proudly by Jacko Hastings.

Souths really didn’t deliver and ultimately this cost them the match, in what is becoming a sup bar season for them.

Props the Bondi side who finally get them winless monkey off their back.

Eels 36 Raiders 6

I still can’t pick Parramatta’s form, as they crushed a solid Raiders team on Saturday.

Parramatta ran hard from the whistle. Their backs hit the right holes early on and Jennings had two tries early with some great lines.

The Raiders were played right out the game despite their best efforts.

Eels’ duo Keiran Foran and Corey Norman laid on plenty of tries and continued to impress as a halves pairing.

The Raiders went home with a great try, but a terrible loss after a great win the week before.

Parramatta need to find consistent performances.

Sea Eagles 34 Warriors 18

Manly’s absolute dominance over the Warriors continues.

This game was far from great, with a lot of stop start moments, and all round general rubbish from both teams at times.

The Warriors lacked a mental toughness to come back from a 12-0 scoreline and were often frustrated with poor options.

Everything that stuck for the Warriors against the Roosters did not stick tonight.

Full credit to the Sea Eagles, who were clinical with time and possession. A solid Sea Eagles season is brewing.

Cowboys 23 Panthers 18

Cowboys go back to back for the first time this year, as well as winning their first away from home.

One of the most entertaining last twenty minutes of a match this season.

Penrith looked destined to win this, but the Premiers would not go away.

A 10-nil lead was run down, an 18-12 lead was run down…. and a last second try after a Lachlan Coote field goal seven minutes from time closed the match out to send the Pennys packing.

A cool headed Cowboys side showed that they are still the team to beat.

Sharks 25 Titans 20

Wind back the clock!

Over the last three weeks, Ben Barba is showing the sort of form which won him a Daly M.

His sixth minute runaway was brilliant, and every game he has scored in this year has been a winner for the Sharkies.

A 14-0 lead was trimmed to two at the break, as the Titans could smell blood.

Rookie Cameron Cullen scored a great solo try on debut for the Gold Coast, but another lead change saw the Sharks take it back.

The last fifteen minutes were tense, and a Chad Townsend one-pointer eleven minutes from time helped ease the pressure.

Hitman Greg Bird was amongst everything trying to stir his Titans team mates up, but Valentine Homes scored a ripper to put the final nail in the coffin.

Knights 18 Tigers 16

A win is a win, especially when it is the first of the season.

Wearing their highly visible orange kit, the Knights strode out on their home ground looking more like miners than men of league.

And after 10 minutes the Tigers scored an easy try leading me to believe the Knights were rugby league imposters.

Though they did hit back, as these two ended up trading try for try.

Hodkinsons perfect night with the boot was the overall clincher, getting the Newcastle Knights their 200th home win – a fantastic milestone.

Bulldogs 18 Storm 12

Six in a row. That’s the Bulldogs record over the Storm. Very impressive.

However after 35 seconds Cameron Smith had kicked a 40/20 and looked to hit the ground running. But they only got two points from their electric start.

The Bulldogs soaked up the pressure when a grubbed ended up in Moses Mybe’s hands as he streaked 90 metres to score.

Not long after the Bulldoga were looking good with a 12-2 scoreline, but only lead by 4 at the break.

The Storm levelled after a freakish play by Young Tonumaipea and it was all on.

The Bulldogs protected their line with their fantastic defence, and got down the end of the field and picked up the game winning try.
