FRIDAY

South Sydney Rabbitohs V Parramatta Eels – ANZ Stadium – 21.50NZT

Origin has taken away the Rabbitohs halves so Cody Walker and Luke Keary are filling the void this week.

Parramatta will be tough opponents, with the world’s biggest five-eighth in Kenny Edwards once again lining up alongside Corey Norman.

The Rabbitohs season has been disastrous, and we are all waiting for them to kick in to gear, but I feel like that won’t be this week either.

The Eels side is only down Michael Jennings due to Origin, but a handy fill in of Vai Toutai will get the job done.

The Eels forwards have a good reputation, but Souths are really desperate for go forward. There is an element of uncertainty in the match for me up front, but I think that the Eels are in form and will be able to pull off a win.

TIP: South Sydney to score first through Cameron McInnes, but Parramatta to win 1-12.

SATURDAY

Saint George Illawarra Dragons V Melbourne Storm – WIN Stadium – 21.30NZT

The Dragons seem to have been getting through this Origin period okay, and are unchanged from last weeks loss.

The Storm will be without their big Queensland guns, but have handy stand-ins ready to roll out and give it to the Dragons.

The Red V attack is the worst in the comp, and are looking dire on their fifth tackle options. If they haven’t improved this week, the Storm D may give them a touch up.

Melbourne will not want to drop this match, sitting first on the table with a healthy points differential.

The Storm are first for a reason – they have the right mental attitude and games like this are always close despite losing their stars.

TIP: The Storm have a good record over the Red V. Storm 1-12.SUNDAY

New Zealand Warriors V Sydney Roosters – Mount Smart Stadium – 18.00NZT

Last time these two played, it was a Roger Tuivasa-Sheck try in golden point that broke Chook hearts in Gosford.

This time, the Warriors are in better shape than they were in Round 5, and the Roosters are missing a few key players through injury and Origin.

No team wants to back up a 46 point humiliation with another loss, but it’s on the cards for the Bondi boys.

The Warriors form over the last two week has seen their attacking options look endless. Confidence goes a long way, and that’s something their opposition is struggling with.

They can’t go in and underestimate them, the Roosters still have some stars amongst their ranks that on their day could beat the Warriors. It could come down to the bounce of the ball early on.

TIP: Warriors have to win. 13+

MONDAY

Gold Coast Titans V Manly Warringah Sea Eagles – CBUS Super Stadium – 21.00NZT

This Monday night game isn’t going to bring in the crowds, but the Titans have the potential to bring the points.

The Sea Eagles season is sink or swim at this stage – and they seem to be sinking more than they’re swimming.

The Titans rely heavily on their young halves. That means Tyrone Roberts and Ash Taylor need to deliver. They are slick on attack when the momentum builds.

The Sea Eagles side has holes all through it, but the return of Lyon and Taupau may help.

TIP: The Titans will win it 1-12.
