Little things that annoy #73

Umpires holding an umbrella during a pitch inspection after the rain has stopped.  

Note the italics.  The rain has stopped, and that is exactly why they are doing a pitch inspection.  And when the rain has stopped there is no need for an umbrella.

It happens so frequently to be an accident.  Never mind what message it sends to the players; what about the message it sends to the crowd.

Days like the last couple at Eden Park are hard enough with that kind of subliminal messaging
