The Blazey Memorial Home
0Take all your petty control freaks away somewhere
And build them a home, a little place of their own.
The Blazey Memorial
Home for Incurable fish heads and suit.
And they can appear to themselves every day
On their SKY T.V.
To make sure they’re still real.
It’s the only connection they feel.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, Fozzy and Foxy and Robbo,
Mr. Plum and friend, Messers McLeod, and Moar,
“Hello Fozzy!”
Mr. Mitchell and party.
“Who’s the bald chap?”
The ghost of Ron Don,
The memories of Rutherford.
“Good-bye!”
And now, adding colour, a group of anonymous American private equity snake charmers.
Did they expect us to treat them with any respect?
They can polish their medals and sharpen their
Smiles, and amuse themselves playing games for awhile.
Boom boom, bang bang, lie down we’re bored.
Safe in the permanent gaze of a cold glass eye
With their favourite toys
They’ll be good girls and boys (mainly boys)
In the Blazey Memorial Home for colonial relics and mules.
