0An independent review into the Black Ferns culture and environment is released, after more than 50 former and current players, coaches and management are interviewed. It spanned more than 30 pages and offered 26 recommendations. Although head coach Glenn Moore initially stays on, within a week he resigns, with Wayne Smith named as his replacement shortly afterwards. Whitney Hansen and Wesley Clarke will be Smith’s assistants.

Ross Taylor, who announced his international retirement at the end of 2021, plays his final match for New Zealand at his local ground of Seddon Park as the Blackcaps clinch a 3-0 ODI series win against the Netherlands. Taylor makes 14 off 16 balls.
