An Extraordinary piece of #Statchat
2As we know, this has been quite the year for Brendon McCullum. All those runs, all those multiple centuries, all those milestones.
But probably the most amazing statistic flew by this afternoon. In his last two test innings; at Sharjah and Christchurch McCullum hit 22 sixes.
For some perspective on that, up until today that was the most number of sixes that any player had ever scored in a calendar year. Here is the list, and check out the number od tests played in relation to the competition.

BB McCullum (NZ) | 9 | 1164 | 72.75 | 33 | 2014 |
AC Gilchrist (Aus) | 15 | 836 | 41.80 | 22 | 2005 |
V Sehwag (India) | 14 | 1462 | 56.23 | 22 | 2008 |

Wow! That’s impressive.
Going by the commentators yesterday McCullum’s about to break another record… Gilchrist has the record for hitting 100 6’s in tests, pretty sure McCullum only needs one more ?
An incredible innings by BM …his striking & shot selection was outstanding, showing superb controlled aggression.
