Manchester United travelled to Munich for the away leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final with the tie hanging in the balance ay 1-1.  In a disappointing season this was their last chance at silverware as well as qualification for next season’s Champions League.

Against the odds Patrice Evra gave the visitors the lead.
