Continental Drift
0Yesterday morning as Iran and Nigeria were trudging their way through a non-fixed bore draw there was this impressively mischievous tweet from our friends at Premier League Pass
Wonder what Ibra got up to this morning

For those of you who missed the point of that, it is the argument that FIFA, in its quest to appease the non-traditional footballing continents are ignoring the most talented players who mainly come from Europe, have diluted the quality.
Sweden’s Zlatan Ibrahimović is most probably watching this from a sauna on the outskirts of Stockholm somewhere. Where are Sweden, Serbia, Denmark, Scotland, Romania et al in Brazil?
At first glance that is a fair point, but that is a bit unfair.
Statchat time. The table to date of the confederations after 14 matches.
Asia | 0 | 2 | 2 |
Africa | 1 | 1 | 3 |
CONCACAF | 3 | 1 | 1 |
Sth America | 4 | 1 | 2 |
Europe | 6 | 1 | 6 |
So Asia are still a bit rubbish, but Europe are only even on stats.
It is taking a while, and the World Cup is aching for an African side to make the semi-finals, but when you have CONCACAF the second most successful confederation you know something is being done right.
Mexico became the first non European or South American side to take points off Brazil overnight. First side ever.
And this World Cup is there for a side from the Americas to lose.
