NFL Match of the Week with @Girvana
1By Hamish Girvan
New England Patriots @ New York Giants Monday 10.25am
The G.O.A.T ?
Some are already calling the New England Patriots the greatest of all time. 2007 anyone?
This is eerily similar and this week a match up versus the team that stopped their unbeaten run 8 seasons ago comes up in week 10
The 2007 version of the Patriots went right through to the Superbowl unbeaten until the big game where the famous helmet catch occurred and the New York Giants won tin the final minutes
The Patriots regular season read like this – look familiar?
New York Jets W 38–14
San Diego Chargers W 38–14
Buffalo Bills W 38–7
Cincinnati Bengals W 34–13
Cleveland Browns W 34–17
Dallas Cowboys W 48–27
Miami Dolphins W 49–28
Washington Redskins W 52–7
Indianapolis Colts W 24–20
Bye
Buffalo Bills W 56–10
Philadelphia Eagles W 31–28
Baltimore Ravens W 27–24
Pittsburgh Steelers W 34–13
New York Jets W 20–10
Miami Dolphins W 28–7
New York Giants W 38–35
History has a habit of repeating itself and with who the Patriots have it could be another unbeaten regular season
They are a 5.5 point favourite at Giants Stadium. The Giants are a better team than their record suggests however as a bookie once said you don’t get rich going against the Patriots. This one should gain be a routine win even without their starting Running Back, Dion Lewis. Who is now out for the season. Coach Bill Belichick has a knack of puling the next man up and making them look like a starter. Pick another game this season for the Pats to ruin their unblemished record.

Could happen – the Pats are streets ahead…
