NRL Finals Week 3 Preview

FRIDAY: Melbourne Storm (2nd) V Canberra Raiders (5th) – Suncorp Stadium – 21.50NZT
The Storm do their best work playing to structure, and that’s what makes this clash so exciting. The Raiders play totally opposite. They can craft a win in many different ways, and that’s a thread for the Storm to try defend.
Melbourne have only made on change, while Canberra are unchanged.
The Raiders will want to prove their worth and make the grand final yet again, but the tough, seasoned juggernaut of Melbourne stand in their way.
Jack Wighton will have to step up again for the Raiders, while all eyes will be on Cameron Munster for Melbourne.
TIP: Raiders 1-12
SATURDAY: Penrith Panthers (1st) V South Sydney Rabbitohs (6th) – ANZ Stadium – 21.50NZT
The Panthers haven’t lost in what feels like forever, and once again Wayne Bennett’s men are one win away from the grand final.
A team that’s performed well above everyone else this year, the Panthers will do their best to avoid the pressures of succumbing to the wild South Sydney style.
The confidence that both these sides are playing with is unprecedented. Two really positive, switched on teams who can pile on the points with ease.
So there’s plenty to look in to in terms of defence. Who can absorb that pressure and make it into the grand final?
TIP: Panthers 1-12
