NRL Playoffs Review

Storm 20 Roosters 18
Well it was an upset to start the first week of the finals. The Storm definitely left it all out on the field as they came away from this match battered n bruised. Evenly matched though the majority of this match, but the Storm had the upper hand in the ruck, won the battle in the tackle and got the victory. A missed Jimmy Maloney conversion the difference.
Bulldogs 11 Dragons 10
This was a finals game that’ll go down in history as one to remember. This epic battle took to golden point to be decided. A Josh ‘Grub’ Reynolds boot saved the Bulldogs face.
The Dragons threw everything at them, it was the most courageous performance of the season but it was a ‘Hero To Zero’ moment by Gareth Widdop which set the winning moment up. A thriller. Great finals match.
Broncos 20 Cowboys 16
This all Queensland affair saw big brother fend off little brother and give Brisbane the week off. The Cowboys were under the pump with ball in hand, as the Broncos raced up and shut down their minimal oppourtunities. The Broncos deserve full credit, a spirited effort and a week off as a reward.
Sharks 28 Rabbitohs 12
Wow. That’s all I can say. Wow. The Sharks performed a MASSIVE effort all over the park to throw the reigning Premiers out of the competition. Cronulla were gutsy from the opening kick off, won the game mentally early and physically powered overthem to a 28-0 margin which Souths were never going to overcome. Up, Up Cronulla. They were tremendous.
