Broncos 8 Panthers 5
This game had Penrith’s name on it, but a bad Soward kick and defensive lapse by the same man that unfortunately cost them the match. Corey Oates strolled over and the game went to Brisbane. It was a tough match for 80 minutes.
Roosters 36 Tigers 4
It was one way traffic all night. The Tigers stood no chance as the Sydney Roosters put on a first half display any side would be proud of. The Tigers lack a lot of confidence right now, and the Roosters finally got back in to their winning ways.
Raiders 56 Titans 16
What an explosion of form by Canberra at the moment! Sitting pretty well within the top eight. They piled on plenty of points against the Gold Coast – and the result was never really in danger. The Titans put up little resistance as the Raiders made their mark once again. It was a brilliant fanfare of talent and attacking football.
Warriors 20 Sharks 16
Sorry, but for 70 minutes – this was the worst game of football I have ever seen. Both sides didn’t want to win, but two amazing pieces of play from Golden Boot winner Shaun Johnson saw home the New Zealand Warriors. The Sharks never capitalised on the territory and possession they received, and the Warriors never went away – they left with two points.
Cowboys 23 Bulldogs 16
The Cowboys are really the form teram in the competition right now. It is hard to believe they went winless through the first three. The Bulldogs were competitive but in my mind were never going to prove a threat to this ferocious Cowboys side.
Sea Eagles 30 Knights 10
The only time the Knights had a grip on this ball was when Korbin Sims squeezed Willie Mason’s little willie. The Sea Eagles produced form we are more used to, but they still sit at the bottom of the table. Knights have really fallen away.
Storm 28 Eels 10
The Storm really made light-work of the Eels, who posed no threat. The Storm are starting to find some form, but with Origin right around the corner it is hard to judge how they will go. The Eels are lacking in every department over the park.
Rabbitohs 16 Dragons 10.
This was a really well played game. The Dragons dominated the first half, and the Rabbitohs dominated the second half. Both sides were strong on defence, and it was the first time in almost two months that the Dragons were defeated.
