NRL Round 15 Preview

FRIDAY: • Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles v Wests Tigers – Brookvale Oval 21.50NZT
After just how well they played last week, it’d be injustice for the Tigers not to win this. However I think a week off for the Sea Eagles will help them out big time. Plenty of players will have been waiting patiently for the bye. This is going to be a good one.
Sea Eagles 1-12
SATURDAY: • Canberra Raiders V North Queensland Cowboys – GIO Stadium 17.00NZT
The Raiders are going to end the Cowboys winning streak. I can just feel it. The Cowboys after 10 straight will taste defeat, but it’s going to be such an entertaining game that the Cowboys shouldn’t take the loss to heart. The Raiders will have more to offer on the night.
Raiders 1-12
• Gold Coast Titans V New Zealand Warriors – CBUS Super Stadium 19.30NZT
The Titans were the entertainers last week. While the Warriors slipped to a typical Warriors loss. The Titans used to be the Warriors whipping boys, but they got up on ANZAC Day at Mount Smart, and they’ll do the business here on the GC. They’re starting to be a side that will challenge others all over the field, and are starting to make somewhat of a run home.
Titans 1-12
• Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs V Penrith Panthers – ANZ Stadium 21.30NZT
The Bulldogs will be tough to beat in this one. Penrith’s season is falling by the wayside, and the Bulldogs have the squad to make it even worse. They strength they’ve shown throughout the year is enough to get them through. Penrith won’t be able to handle it.
Bulldogs 13+
SUNDAY: • Newcastle Knights V Cronulla Sharks – Hunter Stadium 16.00NZT
Two sides in dire need of a W. The Knights have been terribly hopeless, while the Sharks have been hopelessly terrible. I’d back the Sharks on paper, but I think the Knights are more overdue for a win than their Cronulla counterparts. The Knights owe the fans a win.
Knights 1-12
• Melbourne Storm V Brisbane Broncos – AAMI Park 18.00NZT
This is going to be one physical encounter. The Storm will be brutal in attack and defence, and the Broncos are just as capable of doing the exact same. This match has plenty riding on it, as these two high ranked sides do battle.
Storm 13+
MONDAY: • Saint George Illawarra Dragons v Sydney Roosters – Allianz Stadium 21.00NZT
We have to wait until Monday for what I believe will be the Game Of The Round.
The Dragons and the Roosters played underwater on ANZAC Day and the Dragons were winners on the day, and since then both sides have grown tremendously in stature.
The Roosters are finding ways to win the close ones, while the Dragons are still priding themselves on their defence, especially in the crucial periods of the game.
This is mouth-watering.
Dragons 1-12
