Official RWC2011 Game. With a Giveaway
35We have two copies of the official Rugby World Cup game to give away and review. It’s good.
So who’s best to review an Xbox or Playstation game? An 11 year old boy of course. Here goes…. From the Boy Cave.
The first thing I thought when I picked up the case was how amazing the graphics are; at first I thought they were real people. I’ve been to a World Cup game at the Wellington stadium, and it looks exactly like that on the game.
The CPUs in this game are extremely realistic and versing other people is great fun. One of the best features is the select sides on the pause menu, which allows other people to join, leave or just change what team they want to be in after the match has already started.
The fact that they have the world cup schedule entirely correct has impressed me a lot and they even took out the Christchurch matches and replaced the Christchurch stadium with whatever stadium had to be placed in.
Most of the squads are identical to those at the World Cup. Not the All Blacks though, but that doesn’t seem to matter. One of the locks for the All Blacks is called Rata, and that’s pretty cool.
The achievements are great fun to get and they’re named very well, including one of my personal favourites: just like pudding, which requires you to score a drop goal with a prop.
Now your chance to win.
We have two copies of this to give away. One XBox 360, one for Playstation.
Pick your Top 4 finishers in the Rugby World Cup in the comments section. Three points for the right team in in the right place. One point for the team in the wrong place. Entries to be submitted by 1800 8th October.
In the likely event of double-ups in picks we will run a tiebreaker in the week leading up to the Final
