0The Commonwealth Games are almost upon us. Clearly, grotesque uniforms are a bit of a thing this time around; so that’s good. Here is Scotland taking it to a new level.

Further south the Tour de France got underway in Yorkshire, and that dry Northern humour came into play.
Further south still, and Wimbledon had a bit of a reputation for dour dress codes and crowd behaviour. Apparently not any more.

While others spat the whole thing out.
For all the Messi hype it was Javier Mascherano who provided the defining moment in the other semi-final. Note; Robben did not go down in that challenge.
