Sporting Pics of the Week: July 26
0Who knew that Melbourne was full of Scousers? You have to hand it to them though; 95,000 trucking up for a friendly on a Wednesday night is really impressive. Someone should tell them they’ve got a new manager though; not sure that it’s still Paisley.
Miguel Angel at The Open. He seems a little bit excited too.
Stuart Broad at Eden Park earlier in the year. The art of every good screen shot is making sure you’ve got the background just right.
NZ v England at Pukekohe at women’s rugby last weekend. Famous Person in the Crowd Alert.
The Chiefs won the New Zealand Conference in the Super Rugby. There is even a trophy that goes to the team that achieves that. You’d think it would be presented to the team in front of their fans at the end of the last game in pool play. But no; here’s the prize giving, at a drinks break at training on Tuesday. The quality of the photo says it all.
Meanwhile, 7,000 tickets for the semi-final remain unsold.
This is also wrong. Short of ideas for a birthday present for a male friend? Pop over to Melbourne for the full range of AFL onesies.
Thanks, of sorts, to Jason Pine for that last pic
